“Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat,” meaning “One India, Best India,” is an initiative by the Government of India to promote cultural integration and mutual understanding among states and union territories. Launched in 2015, it encourages people to explore and appreciate the diverse traditions, languages, and heritage of different regions, fostering national unity. The programme is being organised in all KVs as an annual cultural fest showcasing the rich national heritage and Unity in Diversity.
Under this program, every state in India is paired with another state to promote cultural exchange and enhance mutual understanding and appreciation. The states are chosen based on their similarities and differences in culture, language, traditions, geography, and socio-economic conditions.
Aim:
Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc.
Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme Arunachal Pradesh State has been paired with Uttar Pradesh.

- Art Project for Schools (Art integrated project work of the students of schools in Arunachal Prades will be based on the art form of Uttar Pradesh.

- Showing Popular and age-appropriated film/s form the paired State/UT in the language of the paired State.
