Work Undertaken under the PM SHRI Schools Scheme: Construction of Vocational Lab
As part of the PM SHRI Schools Scheme, a Vocational Lab was constructed at the Vidyalaya to promote skill-based learning and provide students with practical exposure to vocational education.
The Vocational Lab was inaugurated by Ms. Sonalika Jiwani, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, East Siang, while its virtual inauguration was graced by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education; Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education; and Shri Vikas Gupta, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).
This initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening vocational education at the school level. It aims to equip students with practical skills, encourage creativity and innovation, and enhance their preparedness for future career opportunities, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the objectives of the PM SHRI Schools Scheme.
